Engine won't turn off - Mercedes W202 1996

Hi guys,

Long story short, battery was drained for power in a few days, so looking for a parasitic draw by looking at the multimeter, while I pulled out all the fuses, 1 by 1 in the trunk, and the engine bay.

I didn't find anything suspicious so was going to start the car, but couldn't.
Found out the fuse in the OVP relay was blown, so replaced it, and I could start the engine. Then I wanted to turn off the car, but the engine kept on running after I removed the key.

Was told to replace either the OVP or buttom of the ignition, and disconnect the alternator. Tried all 3 things.

I have also disconnected every single plug in the engine bay, a long with the ECU and the ABS, Idle controller, fan blower at the passenger well, etc.

However, the engine/ignition still won't turn off.

But basically. With the ignition off, I put the battery pole on the battery, and all the warning lights in the cluster turns on for like 30 seconds, and then turns off, except the battery and ABS light.
If I turn on the ignition, the radio will turn on as well.

I measured the OVP socket as well. And with the ignition off, I have 12v on pin 30, ground on pin 31, and 0V on the rest.
If I turn on the ignition, Pin15 has 12V as well, as well as most other Pins, so I guess that the ignition and OVP is working as it should.

Also, all the wires was replaced in the engine bay like 7-8 years ago.

Anybody who has an idea of what is keeping my ignition on?

I finally think I found the problem.

A black/red wire going to the leg 30A on the OVP had created so much heat, the insultation was melted into the other wires.

If I disconnected that wire from the OVP relay, the car seems to behave like it should.

Do you know where that wire is going to in the other end?
