1972 W108 280SEL 4.5 AC Dead

Hi I recently purchased this vehicle and the AC is dead. Want to troubleshoot before turning over to a mechanic to resolve and save some money if I can. No response when turning on the system. Any suggestions on common issue(s)?

Also, does anyone have a fuse box diagram to start there?
