I love my new E Class but my neighbours clearly do not.

Bought an E400 cabriolet 2 weeks ago, I am overjoyed with my first Mercedes.

Three people have already flashed their lights at me at night. In Canada this only means 2 things, your lights aren't on, or your highbeams are. But I have checked https://19216811.cam/ https://1921681001.id/ and double-checked, they all work correctly.

This has never happened to me once in any other car in decades. I'm a little worried that I'm blinding people, is there an easy way to see if the last owner messed with the bulbs? They look OK to me standing outside but I have nothing to compare to, I've only ever driven pick-ups until this point. Advice appreciated.

It could also mean a speed trap is in front of you. I flash to warn others. Congrats must be a sweet car. H4 bulbs were original and are easy to get at in your car.

Two possibilities seem obvious, though there may well be many more:
1) This is a mischievous spam post.
2) The height of the headlight aim is maladjusted.
