Coolent Light question..

In my 86's 16V the low coolent light came on, so I check and disconnect the plug. Here is my question how come when I unplug it the light would go out like a normal start up......but when I plug it back in the light stay on!! Don't the computer suppose to check for coolent and should of stay on even if you unplug it?? hummm........is that something wrong with my sensor?

thanx

Your sensor in the resevoir is probably shot (like mine). You can unplug it for good as long as you keep an eye on the level. Eli.
