Key fob (type) - Prolonging life

Car: 2002 E430 W210

The key fob works great, but over the years, the plastic has started to crack.

Has anyone found a way to "extend" the life of the key fob?

I'm thinking of covering the top with some glue.

Do you have a suggestion of what glue to use? Super Glue? Hot Glue?

Thanks for the suggestions.

Haha. Same here. Black insulating tape. Not elegant but 100% successful.
