My Canadian mb front brake pads was replaced by dealer with part # 420 99 20.Is this a floating Girling type caliper not the fixed one as shown in the DIY with pictures on this site.
Will the rear be different again from that shown?What part # for the rear brakes?Fixed or floating? Tom ,many thanks |

The rear brake is fixed type caliper. here is part #000-420-98-20 for your rear brake pad.hope this help. |

Rears are the same as shown in article...Mercedes did not go to the fixed caliper in the 320 until the 94 320.

Thank you for your responses.I enquired at MB dealer.They told me my 92 300E 2.6 uses the 420 98 20 rear pads same as Senior Member suggested.From the computer drawings the parts guy used,it seems to be fixed caliper design with 2 pins and one spring plate.
