Hello i have a question?? my 2000 mercedes e320 a/c blowing hot on start up, compressor on, clutch spinning, i have to turn the climate control switch off then back on for the freon to start flowing then cold air comes, any ideals? its seams like a bad switch are something, what do you guys think? thank you very much.

Even though it has a clutch that kicks on and off, these compressors have a valve in the back/side of the compressor that regulates the pressure. I do not fully understand how it works but I have had a few cars that did that, or would cool, then quit, and if you hit the EC button to turn compressor off, then back on, it would start cooling again. The fix was to simply replace the compressor.
