W108 3.5v8 warm running and starting woes

Hello

I live in New Zealand and have a 280SE 3.5v8. It has been sitting for a while and starts nicely when cold but does surge up and down (? Auxiliary air valve/AAV Problem). This settles down but after ten min of driving when engine warm it dies and doesn’t start easily again for 20-30 min. I wonder if it’s getting too much air and then in response to ecu getting flooded?

Any ideas what might be the problem? I’ve been told MAP may be faulty?

Thanks in advance

Hemal

there's no silver bullet for the djet injection system. coolant temp sensor, air temp sensor, map sensor, even fuel pressure can cause that. start here-

good luck, chuck.
