Thumbs up Sometimes the best solution is the easiest...

Lately I'd been hearing some funny noises from the rear of my 1987 300E so I immediately went to the search function here at Mercedesshop.com. I found out it could be one of four major things: The read end could be going, a rear bearing could be in need of replacement, there could be an issue with the brakes and calipers or the exhaust system could need new rubber hangers. Armed with this information I made a quick inspection underneath and found to my surprise and relief that it was the need of both rubber hangers for the exhaust system that needed not only replacing, they were gone altogether. A quick trip to Kragen Auto Parts and five bucks later my problem was solved.

Heaving a sigh of relief,
Thom
