R350 emergency key inoperable?

Hi Guys!
Whelp... last night I locked the car with the fob as I got home. This morning I ago out there and the fobs not working. Just acting dead. Went in for the key blade and it will only turn a quarter turn counterclockwise and it isnt unlocking. I thought it used to turn a quarter in the clockwise direction too but its just freakin stuck. I wiggled jiggled, put a strong massager on it, an air chisel too in hopes it would jiggle something loose. No dice. Tried a new battery in the fob too and still doesnt do jack. Thoughts?

edit.. just had a thought that it is supposed to only turn a quarter counter clockwise and its just busted? ugh!! The blade key is one thing, how do I determine if my fob is shot?

Thanks! Opossum

Thanks for that tip. No dice on that either. However, my fob decided to work again for whatever reason. This is making me nervous now. My battery was not dead in the car or the fob, my emergency blade key doesnt work apparently so I guess I will not be locking my doors any time soon. Ugh

Have you sprayed a silicone lock ease in it? Could take numerous applications and trys before it will work again. My old chevy took 7 years before the passenger door lock worked again. Hoping yours won't take as long.

I did put quite a bit of lock lube in there.. the cylinder itself moves freely for that counter clockwise quarter turn. Hmmm.. perhaps more freely than I remember it. I suppose now that I am in, I should take it apart and see if there is just some broken linkage. Going back though, Do these only turn a quarter turn? This implies the blade key only unlocks and does not lock if my thinking is correct. This is a 2010
