Unhappy M119 5.0 Piston ring problem for W140

Hello guys, this is the first time I am posting here. I am from Uzbekistan and I own a 1996 W140 S320 with an M104 which I removed, in the process of swapping a M119 5.0 engine into my car.

I am having trouble with finding new piston rings for the swap engine. I am doing an engine rebuild on a M119 5.0 engine with code 119.980. Everywhere I look the dimentions for a piston ring kit is (1.75mm 001IF CRP KV1 / 2.0mm 005IW CR P KV1 / 3.5mm 231 CR P GOE13). I ordered a replacement Goetze piston ring kit (https://spareto.com/products/goetze-engine-piston-ring-kit/08-182700-00) but it doesn't fit. The rings removed from my engine are little bit slimmer and the thickest one is 3mm instead of 3.5mm which is mentioned as the standard size when ordering parts.*
I have to admit that my engine comes from a car in Dubai, but the engine is 119.980 so it is the same engine in 1996-1998 W140.

What might be the reason that the piston rings with sizes according to spec, doesn't fit my engine? Any ideas would be appreciated.

adjusting ring gap

plenty video's on youtube showing how to adjust ring gaps. make sure you hone cylinders, and mic the bore several places, so no piston wobble.
