new to 380SL

Hello,
I just bought my first Mercedes 380SL. I have had many an old car, but never a Mercedes. It has a high idling problem which the mechanic can't figure out. I did some research and suspected the idle speed module. I replaced it, but that did not solve the problem. I now have the over-voltage relay out and tested the diode. It works fine but there is no continuity from pin 30 to 30A which I believe is the fused path. It's hard to see into the little hole to see if the fuse is burnt but when I stick a nail in it I get continuity from pin 30 to 30A. The little schematic printed on top of the relay shows a small rectangle between 30 and 30a. Is that the fuse? Can I make a fused jumper between these two pins to solve the continuity problem? Your help is appreciated.
