Is it a commen problem for the rear differential to leak?
Luckily for me I get under my car alot so I noticed this problem. I took it to the dealer and had it fixed. Now its happening AGAIN! I'm bringing the car back but was wondering what are the consequences of having a leaking differential. Reason I'm asking is I'm worried that something went bad in the differential due to low oil. This second time the differential is leaking pretty bad. |

It depends on how badly the diff is leaking. If it was a common seep I would be OK with it, but any drops hanging from the diff is too much. Usually the dealers just swap the units out with a rebuilt one I am told from other friends in the buisness.
