Is the 190 models' a/c evaporator "burried" like the 300s?
With all the cost associated with the 300 series' a/c evaporator (10-15 hours labor to get to it); does anyone know iof the 190 series has this same design of "burrying" the evaporator?

Barer of bad news !!!!
Unfortunately the evaporator coil is housed inside the heater case. In order to R & R it you have to pull the dash. It is a time consuming project at the least.

The evaporator on 190 series (201 chassis) is replaced from under the hood.It is necessary to remove the wiper assembly and blower motor to gain access to remove the forward portion of housing.Once the housing is removed the evaporator comes out.
