gas leak in a 1990 300sel
I have noticed recently that my father's 300 sel has a small fuel leak. I noticed a small drop of fuel on the fuel line. The car has in the past smelled like fuel also. The drops appear to be near the fuel pump. Do you have any idea of what this might be. I am planning on taking it for service but would like to have an idea prior to going.
Thanks for you help! rob

The most common thing that I've found leaking at the fuel pumps are the crush seals between the pump and the check valves. Sometimes you will get leaks from the crush seals on the metal lines at the pumps caused by the banjo portion of the lines being deformed from being over tightened.
