190e Ignition Switch Problems
Hello All, I have a 87 190e 2.6 and the other day the a/c blower stopped running while I was on the freeway. Once I jiggled the ignitin key the blower kicked back in. Prior to this happening I would sometimes have to turn the ignition switch off and then on again to get the outside temperature gauge to come on. Kinda sounds like the ingition switch to me. Are these hard to change? And are the ignition switches integrated with the ignition lock tumblers? Thanks in advance.

I have a similar problem with my 1986 190e 2.3. When the car is started, the A/C is not on. I found that i need to jiggle the key to the A/C going (sometimes I slighty turn the key counter-clockwise, but you can't turn too much as the engine would shut off ) It is a pain in the ass though, and any help on this subject would be appeciated. If it costs a lot of $$$$ to fix, i can live with what i got

Ign Switch
Your Ignition switch is bolted on the back of your steering lock mech, you will gave to get behind the dash under panel to change it. If your key sticks in the ignition barrel & gets steadily worse the you MUST replace your barrel.
