About a year ago, the SRS light appeared on my 1989 300E. Dealer says need a sensor and a new control unit. Control unit = $1100.00. Is it reasonable that a
sensor and control unit would die at the same time?? I have had another misdiagnosis situation with this dealer and would like to get the SRS fixed but don't really trust the dealer. I live in a state with annual vehicle inspect and am told the SRS needs to work to pass inspection. No other MB dealers for 150 miles so second opinion is difficult.
