Is the 140 589 15 21-00 transmission fluid dipstick suitable for use with all 722.6 transmissions, regardless of chassis style (e.g., R129, W210, or 163)?

Yes, it even is used on the new 211 chassis.

The reason why it is universal is because it measures from the botom of the pan up instead of from the end of the tube down. The dipstick is a couple feet longer than the tube.
