Greetings,
I have posted this somewhere else but so far no replies, I am hoping to get some here. ![]() I would like to know of ALL the places on a W140 chassis where one could find the VIN of the car. Thank you all. |

They're all over the place if you look for them. What do you want to know that for?

Bumpers, fenders, all doors, rear quarter panels, trunk lid... etc. Assuming that they are original (and not replacement parts) of course.

The most important SERIAL(vin) number is under the passenger side front seat. Run the seat all of the way back, there is a cut-out in the carpet. The serial number is LASER engraved into the floor pan at this point.
MB cars with factory alarms DON'T have serial numbers on the BODY parts after 1992 by USA law!!
