190e smog test problem
my 1985 190e 2.3 failed California smog. The readings that failed were HC - 203 at 15 mph and 223 at 25 mph vs 135 and 110 max. the CO measurements were 2.17 at 15 mph and 2.05 at 25 mph vs max of .83 and .63. I think it could be just fuel injection adjustments (running too rich). Please provide some insite if you would. Thanks.

Either someone has adjusted the mixture so rich that the O2 sensor can't control the mixture OR the O2 sensor isn't working at all.

Thanks alot M.B.Doc. That is exactly what happened, the mixture on the FI was too rich. After adjustment the car passed smog with flying colors.
