can't start
I can't turn the ignition key on my 200TE past position 1. The steering lock disengages and I can move the automatic gear shift, but the key just won't move any further. The electrics all seem to be working and fuses are intact.

Ignition tumbler may be shot. Mine went a few years back, and it wouldn't let the key turn at ALL. The bummer is that part of the removal of the tumbler mechanism involves inserting and turning the key - otherwise it's a long and intensive drilling process to remove.

Change it Quick!
You'd better have that item replaced, once the steering wheel locks you will not have any cheap options you will be paying up to $600 for someone to drill out the ignition, if key still turns it will only cost up to $200 to replace.
