Pete,
If your concerned about future repair bills you can always purchase a Warrantech Warranty. If you buy it while your still under factory warranty the cost should be less than your first major repair bill. Once your out of factory warranty the cost goes up exponentially or becomes unavailable alltogether. As far as I know Warrantech does not sell direct to the public, you will have to order through your local independent or dealership. BTW, I believe the stem-to-stern..."its going out of warranty, fix what you can find" phrase your looking for is : "I'm going on a trip, could you please make sure nothing is wrong." Hope this helps...Lee [This message has been edited by Lee Scheeler (edited 07-07-1999).] |

The biggest thing to look out for is leaks. I've seen C280's with as little as 35K on them and the head gaskets were already seeping oil. Pinion seals on the rear differential have also been known to leak early on also.
