Another weekend without the 1983 Diesel 240D on road.I have a clogged Fuel Filter, and so I went to dealer to get new one. He gave me "A 601 090 03 52".
The threaded hole is too small for the Bolt that holds the Filter on (Guesstimate hole at 12 mm vice Guessestimate 13.0 mm Bolt). Are there different part numbers for this Filter or did I just get the wrong one?
Can I use FRAM Fuel Filter until Monday? I want o drive car badly.

The 601 part # filter is for the later series diesel engines, using a fram filter doesn't make you a bad guy! Drive now pay later!!

Go ahead as the Doc said. They sold you the wrong filter. Did you also replace the pre-filter? I would.
