Can anyone tell me the wiring format for my dash lights. I don't have any power to them. The fuse is good. The light switch has power, but I am not sure of the routing. The light for the outside temp and the lights on heater, trans, radio and all work. The 3 instrument bulbs are all that don't work. If someone could tell me how the circuit works I would certainly appreciate.
Thanks in advance Larry 1984 190E 108K |

Are you talking about the instrument lights? if so I had the problem of mine not lighting up at all. the fuse is good and bulbs are brand new and checked with a volt meter. I pulled out my cluster assembly and found a burned up circuit trace on the circuit board. The trace ran from the dimmer switch to the bulbs and thus no power was getting to the bulbs. I priced out a replacement cluster and it was expensive for me at least. I was able to fix it by carefully bridgine the burnt out trace with small guage wire and soldering. I didnt find it too terribly difficult but do consider myself good at soldering so if you dont think you can solder well enough find a friend who can theres nothign worse than causing more extensive damage to stuff like this because of a misplaced drip of solder or connection

BTW I was able to figure out the wiring arrangement using a voltmeter and a bit of tracing lines. sorry I cant be more descriptive about it than that but its how i did it
