I have a 1972 280se (4.5 v-8). I want to know if the fuel / air mixture can be adjusted. The car runs great, lots of power, but the local emissions test says the hydrocarbons are too high. Any suggestion?

But of course! The fuel computer is located next to the radiator on the passengers side. There is an adjustment knob at the top for c/o adjustment.

I will check it in the morning, thank you.
Another question, is thier a way to verify the mixture w/out an exhaust sensor? Thank you, Oscar oscar_trapp@hotmail.com |
