Did you own this car before this started happening? The reason I ask is that I have seen where some people MODIFY the wiper to stop in the center position.

Don't ask my why, because I don't know. I suppose just so that it looks different.

Have a great day,

Some people modify their wipers to park in the 12-o'clock position because that's what is done in some race cars, to reduce the air resistance of the wiper (i.e. the wiper has a bigger frontal area against the airstream up the windshield if it is parked at the 9-o'clock or 3-o'clock position).

On the more modern Benzes (e.g., starting with 201, 124), there is a fairing on the trailing edge of the hood, which diverts air over the wiper parked in its normal position, so placing the wiper at 12:00 is not necessary. On the other hand, the 123 does not have such a fairing on the hood.
