Seats Interchangeable?

Do any of you fine folks out there know if the seats in a 560SL can be swapped (driver-passenger)? The driver's seat doesn't offer firm support under the left leg like the passenger seat does and I'd like to swap them. I notice that the seat back adjustment is on the same side on both seats rather than mirror image. The only thing that concerns me is the slide adjustment handle that is mirror image. An ideas?
