When did MB start using R-134? - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Does any one know when MB started to use R-134a rather than r-12. Also what models If there was a split year? Thanks

I believe it was 1992 on the 140 model.

I believe MB went to R134a across the board (in the US, anyway) in 1992. My 1992 500E is R134a.
