Question What do I need to buy to lower my '77 280e?

Hey, hows it going? I have a 1977 280E Mercedes. What kind of springs, or anything else do I need to buy to lower my car? Also can I put 18" wheels on my car when it is lowered. Thanks for the help.

Hi,
You have a nice car...if you want to ride on 18 inch rims, buy a Honda. Your money is better spent elsewhere on the car...but what do I know... it would look a bit ridiculous, me thinks.

The springs in a W123 chassis like yours are very strong & "big". If you had spring compressors that were for MB's, then remove the spring pads that are above the springs & that will lower the car.
