Euro Headlight/wiper modifications

Most of the vendors I see advertising Euro headlights (IMPCO, Beckers, etc.) say that modification of the headlight wiper/washer system is necessary when installing Euro headlights. Does anyone know what modifications are needed, and how extensive a job this is? Thanks for any advice.
