I would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me on what lies behind the rectangular enclosure protruding from the passenger's side of the oil pan of a 603 engine. I don't have the engine manual yet and don't want to go take the thing apart to satisfy my curiosity.

OIL!!! The turbo models we get in the US needed more oil capacity for better engine cooling.
