vibration
I have a '91 190e 2.6 with 83,000 miles. Recently, when I stop at a stoplight and the car is still in drive there is a vibrating noise, so I put it in neutral to get rid of the sound. Any ideas as to what the problem may be and cost??? Tansmission fluid is ok. Never been changed etc. Thanks Annette
P.S. The weather has been below 32 degrees F. here this past week. Last edited by Annette; 12-12-2002 at 08:36 AM. |

I would suspect your motor mounts are worn out and need replacing.
Usually these are replaced every 100,000 miles or so, cut considering the age of your car and the miles, this wouldn't be an unusual replacement.
