Howto Remove electric S500 Rearview mirror

Does anyone here know how to remove the inside rear view mirror in a '94 S500 sedan. I just bought the car and the mirror flops a little when I hit bumps.

The mirror in the S500 is not adjusted by hand it is remotely adjusted with a switch that controls a motor that adjusts the mirror. My quess is that someone tried to adjust it by hand and broke something loose inside it.

The dealer wants a fortune to replace it, it is worth my time to try to repair it even if I end up breaking it.

Mike

Just pull it down after you have that mirror out disconnect wire connector for auto dimming sensor & motor.
