faulty front electric window switch

i replaced a faulty front electric window switch on the passenger side about 2 yrs ago.

yesterday, this switch appears to have lost its spring action whereby, if you press the switch to open or close the window it remains stuck down and one has to manually bring it back to the switch off postion.
the window does open and close-so,is it a case of a broken spring within the switch and has anyone in the past come across a similar problem and its cure??.

Try a little switch lube. I recently shot a dab of WD40 in my win switch and it worked.

Could be sticky crud in the switch cutout (spilled soft drink or coffee?), or maybe the surrounding cutout is applying pressure to the side of the switch cap.

I haven't seen a lot of switches with broken springs but I guess it's possible. Fastlane probably has a new one if needed....

Got it fixed

sunil190e-1.8 e-mailed me that he had taken out the switch and put it back in and it worked fine.
