W203 C240 Loss of Acceleration at Junction
Hi,
I had a problem with my 2001 C240 Auto the other day and I was wondering who else has had this problem: I was stopped at a roundabout and when I tried to accelerate I got no throttle response at all. The car was idling smoothly at about 700 rpm but no amount of pressing the accelerator would give me any power. After about 5 seconds the car sprang back into life. I have read somewhere else that there may be a technical bulletin on this but was wondering if anyone had experiencd this before? Cheers, Paul |

Two-foot braking can cause this problem. If you depress the brake pedal as you try to accelerate the traction system tells the electronic accelerator to go to the IDLE position!
