300TE A/C compressor problem.......
Hello all,
I just installed a new a/c compressor in my '88 300te, but there is a problem. The replacement compressor has no rpm sensor on the back, but is otherwise the same. I tried to hook it up with just the one power wire, but that only causes it to come on for about 3 seconds and then kick off (each time the key is cycled). So, how can I bypass the sensor or otherwise make the computer think it is still there??????? Thanks!! Klaus p.s. System has plenty of freon.

Why would you want to trick the KLIMA relay into turning on the compressor? If you have another compressor failure you'll probably lose the drive belt (that's one of the reasons for having the KLIMA relay). Install the right compressor.
