Question
I have emailed twice on this and did it wrong?
Anyway, again, I work for an RV Delaership. I have a customer who has a 2002 Mercedes S500 that they want to tow behind their motor home. Can this be towed on a dolly with the front wheels off of the ground. Please email a reply. Thank you! |

Yes dear that could be done but only if you disconnect the driveshaft first. A 2002 S500 is really not the type of car one would want to tow behind an RV. If they really must have a German tow vehicle, suggest an Audi or a Volkswagen, for they come with front-wheel-drive and can easily tag along on a tow dolly.

I would tow it the other way around - rear on the dolley and the front steering locked/wheels straight. This is a rear wheel drive car and you do not want to pull it for miles on end at 70+ mph in neutral.
