I was removing about 160K miles of gunk from my power steering pump assembly on my M103 engined 300CE, and I noticed a wire that runs underneath a hose over the main spar and then seems to go to the power steering pump. Its just a single wire with what seems to be a large fuse assembly. Could someone tell me what this wire is for as it seems to be VERY brittle. If its something major, I'll replace it. If not, i'll let sleeping dogs lie.
