No, Lee, I used Mobil1 15W-50 until 1994, then switched to Castrol GTX 20W-50 at the recommendation of my indy in West Palm. Been using that ever since. My new indy here in northern Cal concurs that I should stay with dino. Hard to know if the synthetic oil gave me any sort of advantage during the early years. My gut tells me 'no', but that's a totally unscientific conclusion.
