You should be able to order one through Parts Shop? If not, then your local MB dealer should be able to order the assembly for you. ------------------ Rgds, Aaron Greenberg MB technician '67 250SE Cabriolet '77 450SL '79 6.9 '79 6.9 '80 300SD '81 240D '85 380SE '89 420SEL '93 300E 2.8 |

You just need the bulb, or the entire assembly?
If the assembly is not damaged, but simply doesn't work, you might be able to repair it yourself. I did this a couple of weeks ago in my '83 240D. The front dome light never worked right, and would only occasionally turn on when I opened the door. I pulled it out and took it apart (which required a little help, just another set of hands) - the contacts were filthy. not really corroded, but just nasty and fouled. I cleaned them up and put some electrical grease on them, and the light works fine. Good luck. - Nathan '83 240D, 250k miles |

Thanks for the info. Can use it on the back courtesy light... unfortunately The plastic is broken on the front light so a replacement is needed. Have query about replacement in to Parts Shop now.
