R&R of center console trim tips for access to HVAC head and window switches
I have a 2000 E320 wagon that got wet from a lawn sprinkler! when the windows were down. The radio/cd and phone unit is not working now...but the light is still on in the on/off button(no fuses are out that I can see, and the HVAC LCD's are not all displaying...the driver's side shows the temp but the passenger's does'nt yet all of it's functions are working! I am of the opinion that it could just be in need of some cleaning not a full replacement. How do I dismantle the console trim to get to these components without destroying the trim!? Thankyou in advance. Bob Raymond

The radio and ACC panel remove with the radio tools, center console woodgrain for the switch group (window switches) simply pulls up after you remove the bezel around the shifter. The center facing woodgrain has a couple skrews behind the ashtray and the opening for the acc panel then tips upwards and drops out of the console.
