350 SDL rods bending????

i have heard that the 350sdl has had troubles with rods bending causing the engine to miss, make noise, i have heard mb has changed part numbers on these rods 5 or 6 times??? anyone got anymore info???

Welcome to the site. Do a serach for 350SD or 350SDL and you will find enough info to fill a book. There is also a special section on this site just for diesel fans, check it out sometime.

thanks, just stumbled onto the site tonite, have been looking for mercedes chat a long time!!!!! nice to be home!!!!!!!!!!!! ive been a diesel mechanic for 13 yrs, started working on mercedes diesels when i was 13, working on dads 69 220d. since then i have started my own shop here in the midwest, working on mercedes diesels as a side line. this looks like alot of fun for me!!!! hope to meet lots of new friends!!!!!!!!!
