I cant figure out why my old 240D 83 Engine failed--the bearings looked perfect, i dont think it was using oil--no oil film at exhaust manifold, even though oil pressure was low the day of failure.
Because of this I'm wondering what might fail again--is it okay to REUSE Connecting Rod Nuts? The engine that failed had #2 piston's Connecting Rod explode literally through the Block! I'm wondering if nuts failed.
Also when I torqued Head Bolts, two or three of them suddenly turned "TOO EASILY" on the last 90 degree twist--did I strip them? Were they stripped? Should I replace them? www.jersey.net/~rtc/BENZ.html
