What do you think 1992 E300 Diesel
I gave up on the 1987 SDL I was chasing. I have now located a 1992 E300 Diesel with 140K. The owner states he is the second owner and is selling the car because he is not able to drive anymore, detached retina.
The fellow states the car is immaculate,of course, dash is not cracked and the interior is OK. Wood OK leather OK no rust. Body is OK except front bumper needs to be replaced. His eyes failed him and he drove into another car in a parking lot. AC is ok. He has replaced a/c and it works. In addition he has replaced the alternator, and transmission 10000 miles ago. Car will be delivered with paper on tranny and two year MB warrenty on trany. Claims no oil leaks and that vacumm system works, no leaks. Sun roof works. Claims car does not burn oil. I read your post Larry. Suspension is tight. He has a mechanic that will check engine compression but I am going to look for amother mechanic. Price 5000 As always opinions appreciated. I really like my 1999 E 300DT. Do a search under my name for infomation on my car. I have been trying to get a car for my daughter for awhile and have been very frustrated. This web site has kept me away from some dogs and over priced cars. I appreciate that but the pressure is on now.
