Windows-both out at once

Does anyone know what might cause both windows on a 1980 450SL to go out at once. I have checked the fuses, they are fine. Could the relay have gone bad and if so where is it located? Any help would be appriciated.

Im no expert, but even though you have checked the fuse and it appears to be fine, I would still go ahead and replace them just to be positive. Having 2 windows go out at the same time makes me think fuse.

good chance your window relay has tken a dump
it will be located with your other relays above your
fuse box. consult_a wiring_diagram, sorry mines at work.
once you id it you can swap it with another one to do a
uick test.

Hmm.. I do know that, on a 190E, if you disconnect the switch for the rear left window, the front right window will stop working.
Not sure if that helps, but it does suggest if one switch/connection is bad it can stop 2 windows working..

Thanks, it was a relay and they are located above the fuse panel behind the kick plate.
