The squealing Dash.

Yet... another 98 ML problem.
My 98 ML320 has just started "squealing" from the dash when I turn off the ignition. It sounds like it maybe a blower motor for venting the cabin that is spooling down. It lasts about 10-15 seconds. Also sounds like it is coming from the passenger underside of the dash. My wife thought she ran over an animal.
Anybody have a clue?
