Driving without Oil ?????
As some of you may already know my car was damaged yesterday while being taken off of a transport truck. The oil pan suffered a good size hole during the unloading, It was not noticed until after the car was off the trans. truck because the deisel rig was running the entire time. I already had a valve that made some noise at low oil pressure so I wasn't alarmed to hear a little clatter. However the hole was created about half way into being pulled off the truck. I say she didn't go without oil for too long and it was all at very low speed obviously. Should I have this thing seriously checked out since they are paying for it or should I slap a new pan on fill her up with oil and then collect the money they send for the repair? Anything I should pay special attention to when/if I take the oil pan off? Thanks for your help
