The armrest in my 1993 300E is broken, too.
Is yours the kind that has the flip-up lid with the storage compartment? My armrest will now only stay in the fully down position, I can lift it all the way up, but it used to be able to be adjustable in many different positions. I'm told they are very, very expensive from the dealer. I hope they can be fixed...

I would try a local junkyard or some "web" junkyards such as
http://www.tristarpete.com You can order new covers from performance products or fastlane I believe. |

I rebuilt the armrest on my 92 400E 1.5 years ago, here is the thread:
Do it myself: rebuilding Center Armrest.. The cost was $7, it has been working great since then, just be sure to reinforce the plastic frame with something (nylon cable tie etc..) after glue it with two part epoxy glue. The armrest is weak, it was not designed for supporting body weight other than an arm.
