'98 C280 "Bad Compressor"

The compressor went out in my car today

right when it started to warm up down here in sunny Florida. Well I looked on Fastlane but they do not have the part so do any of you happen to know the cost of a new compresor? Would a rebuilt or recycled one be a bad idea?
