in my experience with the vancouver area dealerships,
they will cite the slightess problem they will see. it is basically
a sales job for them. the more problems = more sales.
so, with the list of problems you will get, you can pick and choose
the more pressing driveablity problems your budget
will allow.

Would you rather have them NOT tell you of POTENTIAL problems, which if caught EARLY may be considerably less expensive to repair in the long run ? ? ?

mpyne, i expect the dealership to tell me all the problems
of my car since i am a paying customer. now, whether i
will have them repair my car is another issue.

whenever possible i would rather do it myself like most
of the listers of this forum. otherwise, i'd rather give my
business with the independent shop i know.
